Ne-Na contemporary Artspace
Ne-Na Contemporary Art Space is an artist-run residency program in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand. The program gives artists the opportunity to develop and expand their work and engage in intercultural exchange amidst a supportive network of local and international artists. Ne’-Na invites and welcomes artists to learn about the traditional northern Thai (Lanna) culture, and to explore possibilities in sustainable, self-sufficient living. Over the last 25 years Arjan Rampad Kothkaew designed and buld many museums in Thailand. Many museums either dedicated to Abbots or museums celebrating and sharing the culture of a particular region where created with the direct support and influence of Arjan Rampad. In fact Monfai itself can be seen as a Living Museum. It incorporates the architecture of 5 regions that make up the Lanna kingdom. Monfai is build from mostly salvaged timber and will take you back 200 years.

From Seacon Square, Bangkok to the Mathematic Olympiad staged in Chiang Mai, the Monfai staff transforms every space into a magical market. By sharing Lanna, the culture of the North stays alive.
At Monfai we offer a state of the art conference facility that offers room for up to 150 participants. Overhead projector and free wi-fi as well as delicious Lanna lunch make this a unique venue, giving participants a change from the more ordinary conference facilities.
